Divine Questions – Where Are You? (week 1)

Welcome to a New LifeGroup Session!
Before we jump into our study, let’s take a moment to remember that there are THREE things we want to see happen every time our LifeGroups gather:
– Movement towards Each Other
– Movement towards God
– Movement towards our Community
Our questions follow this same format. All of the questions are designed towards movement. We hope you enjoy your time together in your LifeGroup.
**Remember, our goal is to deepen our relationship with Jesus and each other. Use the questions that are help and skip the rest.
CURRENT SERIES: Divine Questions
The questions God asks are questions where He already knows the answers.
These divine questions reveal the heart and nature of not only God, but of us as well.
Last Week: What is a Bible verse that you would like to memorize? Start it this week. Report back to your LG on your progress.
Two Weeks Ago: Spend some time this week reading Proverbs 18:15. Stop, look and listen for God this week.

What is an item you misplace the most?

When is the last time you played hide and seek?
Were you good at it?
Where was your “go to” place to hide?
How would you play it differently today?
How do you think adults try and “hide” from things?
Does it work?
Read James 1:13-15
What does temptation look like?
What is the result of it?
Why do we give in to it?
Read Genesis 3:1-7
What happened to Adam and Eve?
What does it mean that “their eyes we opened”?
Did Adam and Eve know what they were doing?
Read Genesis 3:8-13; Psalm 139:1-4
Did God not know where they were or what had happened?
Why do you think God asked the question?
Can we really hide from God?
Why did Adam and Eve hide?
Do you think it helped?
Beyond the physical, how else did Adam and Eve attempt to hide (see vs 12-13)
How do we do the same thing now?
Why is that bad for us?

Where are you trying to hide from God? What would it look like if you stopped?
