• Clearly marked chalk lines are meaningless if they are not enforced!
o Keys to Good Umpiring:
1. Be CONSISTENT (the most difficult)
2. Be CLEAR (the most overlooked)
3. Be CALM (the most abused)
o Results of Poor Umpiring:
1. Someone else will need to take responsibility for your irresponsibility
2. We fail to demonstrate love
3. We set them up for a harsh reality later in life.
