Steak and Potatoes – a study in Romans: Gratitude (week12)

Gracepointkitsap   -

Welcome Back!!!

Welcome to a New LifeGroup Session!

Before we jump into our study, let’s take a moment to remember that there are THREE things we want to see happen every time our LifeGroups gather:

– Movement towards Each Other
– Movement towards God
– Movement towards our Community

Our questions follow this same format. All of the questions are designed towards movement. We hope you enjoy your time together in your LifeGroup.
**Remember, our goal is to deepen our relationship with Jesus and each other. Use the questions that are help and skip the rest.

CURRENT SERIES: Steak & Potatoes – a study in Romans

This 12 week series will look at the major themes in the book of Romans. This Epistle provides the fullest explanation of the gospel in the New Testament. It pulls no punches while describing man’s condition, the cause and effect of sin, and the transformational power of the gospel.

Last Week: Send some time this week praying through Romans 14; Luke 6:45; Matthew 15:18. How is your heart?

Two Weeks Ago:  Pray for your leaders this week? Our country, state and local.

Key Verse:

So then each of us will give an account of himself to God.Romans 14:12

Why did Paul thank all of them?
List off the “roles & responsibilities” that were mentioned.

Would you say they were involved in the church or just people who showed up to church?
What is the difference?
Read 1 Corinthians 12:12-22
If you had to pick a body part that represents you at GPC, what would it be?
What caused you to pick that one?
Would you want to go through life without that body part? Why?
Why is having a “full body” represented at church so important?
Read 1 Corinthians 12:4-7, 11, 27-28
What is a spiritual gift? (given to someone by the Holy Spirit after they begin a relationship with Christ through Salvation)
Have you ever taken a spiritual gifts test?
Who gives them out?
How does using them in a local church help the church be better?

**(next church membership class – Feb 11 – find out your spiritual gifts and how you fit at GPC)
