CURRENT SERIES: Timeless Truths
This will be 10-week overview of God creating order, purpose, and function into the earth, the rebellion of mankind against divine authority, and God’s unfolding plan to redeem creation and mankind back to its original purpose through faith and grace.
Last Week: Read James 1:5; 1 John 5:4; Matthew 6:25-33; 1 John 1:9; John 14:27 this week. What are the promises God has in store for you?
Two Weeks Ago: Read Genesis 11:1-9 and Proverbs 3:5-6 every day this week. Are there “towers” you might be building in your life? What would it look like to trust God with all of it?

What was the promise that God made to Abraham?
Did Abraham have any children of his own?
Where does faith play into this promise?

What was the problem they were facing?
Why do you think God was delaying the promise?
What was Sarah’s solution?
How was that different from God’s promise to Abraham?
Have you ever had a crisis of faith in God’s promises?

Read Genesis 16:3-6
How did Sarah’s solution to help God out work out for her?
Have you ever wondered if God would come through?
Have you ever tried to help Him out? How did that go?
Read Genesis 18:1-3, 9-14
What did God say to Abraham and Sarah?

How can waiting on God’s promises in our life cause us to doubt Him?
