Missing Peace – Finding Peace When People Are Driving Me Crazy (week 4)

Gracepointkitsap   -

Welcome to a New LifeGroup Session!

Before we jump into our study, let’s take a moment to remember that there are THREE things we want to see happen every time our LifeGroups gather:

– Movement towards Each Other
– Movement towards God
– Movement towards our Community

Our questions follow this same format. All of the questions are designed towards movement. We hope you enjoy your time together in your LifeGroup.
**Remember, our goal is to deepen our relationship with Jesus and each other. Use the questions that are help and skip the rest.

Where in the world is peace found these days? We do not see peace in our country, homes, relationships, and the world! This missing peace can only be found in Jesus Christ.

Last Week: Where do you need to trust God’s Plan in your life right now?

Two Weeks Ago: Can you thank God this week for the waiting? What would it look like if you did?

Key Verse:

If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.” Romans 12:18

Movement Towards Each Other (know the people in your group)
What is your biggest pet peeve?

Movement Towards God (grow in your relationship with God)
Who was your best friend in High School?
Are you still in contact with that person?
What are the characteristics you find most valuable in a friend?
How has that changed since you you’ve become an adult?
What makes a friendship easy? Difficult?
What do you do when a friend is driving you crazy?
What if the person isn’t a friend, but they are still driving  you crazy?
Why does God allow difficult people in our lives?
Read Proverbs 19:11; Colossians 3:12-13
How would someone “offend you” in a relationship?
What does it mean to be slow to anger?
How is that a good thing?
How do you overlook an offense?
Why do you think the list in verse 12 comes first?
How does that help us with difficult people?
Why are we called to forgive?
Read Romans 12:14
How is this even possible?
How is this verse counter cultural to the society we live in today?
Read Romans 12:16-20; 1 Peter 3:8-9
Why is seeking revenge a bad thing?
What does it mean to forgive someone?
How do you let it go?
Read Romans 12:21
What happens if we decide to hold on to it?
How does that hurt us?

Movement Towards Community (they see the change in you)
Is there an offense that you need to release to God? Spend some time in Romans 12:14-21 this week
