RELATIONSHIP GOALS – COVENANT KEEPING (WEEK 4)

Gracepointkitsap   -

Welcome to a New LifeGroup Session!

Before we jump into our study, let’s take a moment to remember that there are THREE things we want to see happen every time our LifeGroups gather:

– Movement towards Each Other
– Movement towards God
– Movement towards our Community

Our questions follow this same format. All of the questions are designed towards movement. We hope you enjoy your time together in your LifeGroup.
**Remember, our goal is to deepen our relationship with Jesus and each other. Use the questions that are help and skip the rest.

CURRENT SERIES:
Relationship Goals

People often look at happy images of marriages on social media and say, “I want that,” but they don’t really know what “that” is. The real secret to a great marriage goes far deeper than just a hashtag. In this five-part series we’ll define five goals that will enable couples to keep their focus on the right path for their marriage.

Last Week:
Memorize Colossians 3:12-14
Pick something from this list and apply it in your relationships this week.

Two Weeks Ago:
If married, where do you want your marriage to be in six months? What will you do to get it there?
If single, where do you want to be as a person in six months? What will you do to get there?

Key Verse:

Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, …” Hebrews 13:4

Movement Towards Each Other (know the people in your group)
How old were you when you had your first kiss?

Movement Towards God (grow in your relationship with God)
What do you think is the biggest misconception people have about sex?
How is sex portrayed in the movies?
How is that different than real life?
What is the best piece of advice you have received about sex in marriage?
Who created sex?
How often do people go to the Bible for advice on sex?
Since God created sex, why don’t more people consult His Word on the subject?
For those who have been married, was sex different in marriage than what you thought it was going to be?
Read Hebrews 13:4
What does it mean to honor marriage?
What does it mean to keep the marriage bed undefiled?
Why did God create sex to be in the covenant of marriage and not just for everyone at anytime?
What are the advantages of sex inside a marriage relationship as opposed to two people just having sex?
Read Matthew 19:3-9
Why did God create marriage and man create divorce?
Read verse 6 again. What is that verse saying about marriage?
Why is that important?
Is marriage hard? Why?
Do you believe that “Our marriage will be as good as we choose for it to be”?
What does that mean, to choose marriage?

Movement Towards Community (they see the change in you)

If you are married, what will you choose for your marriage this week?
If you are single, how will you keep Christ in the center of your life this week?
