Welcome to a New LifeGroup Session!
Before we jump into our study, let’s take a moment to remember that there are THREE things we want to see happen every time our LifeGroups gather:

– Movement towards God
– Movement towards our Community
Our questions follow this same format. All of the questions are designed towards movement. We hope you enjoy your time together in your LifeGroup.
**Remember, our goal is to deepen our relationship with Jesus and each other. Use the questions that are help and skip the rest.
CURRENT SERIES: A Church in Crisis
The Church at Corinth is very similar to the Church in America. We will walk through 1 Corinthians and apply the major themes of this book to our church today.

What kind of car do you drive?
Who is your mechanic?
How many of you have read the manual on your car?
What would happen if you went to the mechanic and told them how you think they should work on your car, based on your knowledge of the manual?
Read 1 Corinthians 3:1-4
Why do you go to church?
What do you love about church?
What would you change about church?
Of those two lists, which one gets more focus?
What is the danger of complaining about “church”?
What happens if you have had a “bad church” experience?
How can divisiveness cause us to lose sight of the mission of the church?
Read 1 Corinthians 4:1-5
What should you look for in a church?
Should preferences matter? Why/Why not?
How many opinions/preferences do you think there are in a local church?
Should preferences and opinions take precedent over Scripture? Why/why not?
What do you think it is like to be a pastor in church?
Read Luke 6:43-45; Proverbs 6:16,19; Romans 16:17-18
What is the warning in these passages?
How could satan use that in a church?
Why is it so important we guard against it?

What’s the last encouraging thing you have said about your church? Make it a point to tell someone that this week.
