Welcome to a New LifeGroup Session!

Before we jump into our study, let’s remember three goals of every LifeGroup gathering:

– Grow with Each Other (know each other better)
– Grow Closer to God (know God better)
– Grow Deeper in Life (live by faith better)

All of the questions are designed to lead us in spiritual and relational growth. The goal is to deepen our relationships with God and one another, and learn to live by faith better in the process.

Grow with Each Other

  • What would your friends and family say you are best known for?
  • What are the things you feel like you cannot live without?
  • What comes to mind when you hear “sacrifice”?

 

Grow Closer to God

  • READ Romans 12:1
  • What are some things you make sacrifices for regularly?
  • What is something that would be really hard for you to sacrifice?
  • In what areas of your life are you worshiping God with the “leftovers” versus sacrificially?
  • What are you dethroning God for? What is taking His place on the throne of your life?
  • READ Romans 11:33-36; Ephesians 4:22-24
  • How have you changed since becoming a follower of Jesus?
  • How does recognizing these changes impact your worship of the Lord?
  • What do these changes teach you about your relationship with and worship of God?
  • READ 1 Peter 2:5; Hebrews 12:28-29; Hebrews 13:15-16
  • What do these passages teach us about the relationship between sacrifice and worship?
  • How does our sacrifice change depending on the object of our worship?
  • Why is worship an individual responsibility and what does that teach you about God?

 

Grow Deeper in Life

  • What is preventing you from worshiping God with your whole life?
  • How will you take personal responsibility for your worship this week?
  • What is an area of your life you will take intentional steps to give to God this week that you have been withholding from Him?
