Timeless Truths – a study in Genesis – Beauty Out of Darkness (week 1)

Gracepointkitsap   -

Welcome Back!!!

Welcome to a New LifeGroup Session!

Before we jump into our study, let’s take a moment to remember that there are THREE things we want to see happen every time our LifeGroups gather:

– Movement towards Each Other
– Movement towards God
– Movement towards our Community

Our questions follow this same format. All of the questions are designed towards movement. We hope you enjoy your time together in your LifeGroup.
**Remember, our goal is to deepen our relationship with Jesus and each other. Use the questions that are help and skip the rest.

For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.” Romans 1:20

Movement Towards Each Other (know the people in your group)
What is a highlight from the Summer?

Movement Towards God
(grow in your relationship with God)
Have you ever been to a national park?
Which one was it?
What caused you to choose it?
What was the most beautiful thing you saw there?
Do you have a bucket list of some beautiful location you want to visit?
Read Genesis 1:1,31; 2:1-3
What does that mean to you?
What do you think it was like as God created new things on new days?
Why do you think  God created different things on different days?
Read Genesis 1:27; Colossians 1:16
Why did God create things “on purpose”?
Why did God make man and woman different?
Why is this so important?
Read Romans 1:20; Psalm 65:8
What does it mean to be in awe of God’s Creation?
Where do you see God’s beauty around you?
How does it remind you of God?
Why is that important?
Read Psalm 8:3-4
What is creation designed to do?
How does the theory of evolution try to take God’s Glory away from creation?
In all that God has created, in all that God controls, how does it feel that the God of the Universe wants a personal relationship with you?

Movement Towards Community
(they see the change in you)
Read Psalm 8:3-4 every day this week. Look for something beautiful in nature each day and then thank God for creating it.
