SIMPLY BLESSED – MULTIPLYING YOUR BLESSINGS

Gracepointkitsap   -

Welcome to a New LifeGroup Session!

Before we jump into our study, let’s take a moment to remember that there are THREE things we want to see happen every time our LifeGroups gather:

– Movement towards Each Other
– Movement towards God
– Movement towards our Community

Our questions follow this same format. All of the questions are designed towards movement. We hope you enjoy your time together in your LifeGroup.
**Remember, our goal is to deepen our relationship with Jesus and each other. Use the questions that are help and skip the rest.

CURRENT SERIES:
Simply Blessed

The very first thing God did after he made Adam and Eve was to bless them. It the nature of God to bless us. Every blessing we have comes from Him. Let’s acknowledge the source of our blessings, share our blessings and even double them!

Last Week:
What is God calling you to do but you are focussed on the burden of doing it?
Read Luke 5:5-11 each day this week and talk to God about it.

Two Weeks Ago:
Where is God blessing your life? How can you share that blessing with the world around you ?

Key Verse:

To one he gave five talents, to another two, to another one, to each according to his ability…” Matthew 25:15

Movement Towards Each Other (know the people in your group)
What is the highest level of math you completed in school?

Movement Towards God (grow in your relationship with God)
If you could multiply one thing in your life right now, what would it be?
Of all the things you could have chosen, what caused you to pick that one thing?
Name some blessings in your life
How did you acquire them?
What does it mean to be “blessed”?
Are all blessings “good”, meaning can something bad happen to us but it still be a blessing? Explain
Read Matthew 25:14-18
Who is the source of the talents?
Why did he give different amounts to different people?
What would have happened if he gave 5 more talents to the guy he only gave one?
Is it possible that part of the blessing is that each was given what they could handle? Explain
So is it possible that the person who asks God for a million dollars, if given to him could actually be a disaster?
Read Matthew 25:19-29
Is it more important how much you have or how you manage what you have from God? Explain
Why do we have a tendency to compare “blessings” with other people instead of just being content with what God has given to us to manage?
What was the result of the good servants and how they managed what they had been given?
What is the key to gaining more blessings from God?
How can we do that?
Are you being a good manager of the blessings that God has given you to manage?

Movement Towards Community (they see the change in you)
What has God given you to manage for Him and His Kingdom? Read Matthew 25:14-29 each day this week and ask God to reveal to you the answer to that question.
